The Historic Stone Store and Kororipo Pa.

During labour weekend (2020) my whanau and I decided to go for an evening stroll, at the stone store, after dinner. When we arrived at the Stone Store my sister began nagging my mum for her phone " Mum, mum, mum can I have your phone pleaseeee!" she said as we sat in the car. Mum ended up giving her phone to me. As soon as we started walking up the track to Kororipo Pa I saw the perfect place to take a photo. We continued up the track. Finally we reached the top the view was so beautiful. The Tui sang as if they were welcoming us into their home. I could barely contain myself straight away the phone came out of my pocket. It was really a lot to take in. We spent about 10 minutes just looking around and reading the little signs. Sadly it was time to head back down. I told my sister to wait so I could take a couple photos of her, they were really beautiful. The history of my ancestors lay on that hill. That evening was really amazing and I am really lucky to have the opportunities of getting to know the history behind my culture. Here are a few photos that I took.

Volleyball

Last term we learnt how to play volleyball. We learnt some amazing skills at it has been really fun. Our girls volleyball team had a tournament in Whangarei, they did extremely well winning 3/4 games. The boys had a tournament the next day in Whangarei, they also did very well winning 3/4 games as well. Thank you Matua Komene and Whaea Lana for taking the time to teach us these great skills and help us see the real beauty of volleyball.
